    The original murals and messages displayed on the walls of Guptill’s Sector are still in place today, including a blonde women screaming, “Youth in Action!” On site, there is a marked technique area and a kid skating rink to cater to the newest skaters. The star of the program is the main rink, full with a transforming nightclub ball.

    Original Features Preserved

    A now-vintage car still rests on screen, and even the bright orange booths in the concession location stay. The Guptill family members, whose 4th generation now runs the business, wants to maintain things just how they are, and just how they have actually always been, maintaining the rink’s fond memories to life.

    Largest Indoor Roller Rink

    At 50,000 square feet, Guptill’s Sector is the largest indoor roller-skating rink on the planet. Building of the massive room started in 1946 and was completed in 1951, opening up on Valentine’s Day. Entirely, the rink has 400,000 oak boards that have actually been fixed into area with an overall of 9 lots of nails. Today, crowds still line up to skate the initial timber floors.
