Mama Mimi Sculpture (Giant Troll)

Mama Mimi notes the eightieth of over 100 of Dambo’s mythological creatures located throughout the globe and component of his global fairy tale, “The Great Story of the Dwarfs.” Dambo’s publication, Garbage, Trolls and Treasure Hunts, shares the tale of his initial 100 giants. Today, the giants can be discovered from Chile to France and in several areas throughout the united state, consisting of Maine, Colorado, and Washington.

Open up daily from dawn to dusk, Tryst Park is a cost-free public park taken care of by the Jackson Hole Land Depend On. Leashed pets are enabled. No cigarette smoking, camping, or fires. Visit trollmap.com for an interactive international list of Thomas Dambo’s giants.

Dambo initially checked out the Jackson Hole area in 2019 and involved himself in the 40-acre park, as soon as a crushed rock pit, to understand how ideal to construct the art work without disturbing the park’s secured wetlands and wildlife environments. The troll is planned to inspire people to engage with and check out nature.

In a public park in Wilson, Wyoming, a gigantic wooden troll extends her leg throughout the superficial waters of a fish pond. Passionately known as Mama Mimi, the 35-foot artwork was created by Danish reusing musician Thomas Dambo, and commissioned by Jackson Hole Public Art in 2021.
