Pentidattilo

The ghost community of Pentidattilo rests on the southern end of Calabria, at the edge of the Aspromonte Mountains. It was first kicked back in the 7th century BC, and developed beneath a large hand-shaped rock– the name originates from the Greek words penta and daktylos, or “five fingers.”

He brought a team of armed men and eliminated every participant of the Abenavoli home except for Antonietta, whom he took captive. Though he wed her a couple of days after killing her household, the marital relationship was at some point annulled after the baron got away Italy. Antonietta lived out the rest of her life in a convent. Some say that you could see the bloody handprint of Lorenzo Alberti on a collapsing wall surface of the castle for many years after the bloodbath.

The households were rivals, Baron Bernardino Abenavoli was in love with Antonietta Alberti. When he found out that the young lady’s hand in marriage was guaranteed to another nobleman, Baron Abenavoli was enraged.
